Psychology
first.

Behavioral science, designed and built.

I help founders find where people hesitate, and design what helps them decide.

Taking on a limited number of projects this quarter.

Who you'd work with

Hi, I'm Joris

Joris, smiling, in glasses and a cream hoodie

I turn how people decide into tools that help them, and I build them myself.

Trained in social psychology, working in product, building with AI. The Sapient Studio is my own company, next to leading R&D at Crobox, a guided-selling platform.

Alongside that role, the studio takes on a small number of fixed-scope projects.

Brands I've worked with

  • Osprey
  • Under Armour
  • Salomon
  • ASICS
  • IKEA
  • Foot Locker
  • Dyson
PsychologyDesignAIdevelopment
This is how I think, design and build.
  • Psychology: I start with why

Before any screen, I look for the moment people hesitate and the reason underneath it.

Where I used itGuided-selling flows that help shoppers choose, for brands like the ones above.

  • Design: I make it usable

The insight becomes a flow, a page or a tool that a real person can get through without thinking about it.

Where I used itPrism, from first sketch to the tool a whole company uses.

  • AI development: I build it myself

No hand-off to a dev team. You see a working version in weeks, on your own material.

Where I used itThis site, spark-and-wonder.com and a fitness app in production.

What working together looks like

How a project goes

  1. 1 · We talk

Twenty minutes about the hard part

You tell me where people stall: they visit, they look, they don't start. I ask until I can say your situation back to you.

  2. 2 · I map it

Your situation, and a spread of ideas

I come back with how I read your situation and a set of ideas, each scored on how much it matters for you. You tell me where I read it wrong.

  3. 3 · We choose

We star the few that matter

Together we pick the one or two worth doing, and I put a fixed scope and price on exactly those.

  4. 4 · I build

Designed and built, on your material

You see it working early, and it's handed over with a clear go or no-go.

What I do

“People drop off or don't get it.”

Expert review

I read your flow through how people decide. You get ranked findings, the reason behind each, and the fixes.

“My team spends days on this.”

Workflow audit

For you and your team: a map of how the work really runs, and a ranked shortlist of what to automate.

“We want AI in this and don't know if it works.”

AI prototype

A working prototype on your real data in a few weeks, handed over with a clear go or no-go.

Selected workThings I designed and built myself, from first question to something people use.
